Hong Kong University

I have met some friends from Hong Kong recently. We have talked about how to get admitted into a Hong Kong university. Appatently interview will be the most difficult part for many people. Here are some tips for you all.

  1. Be the first one to speak up. Modern universities are looking for future leaders not followers. They like people with guts. Speak up so that you can be heard.
  2. Remember to involve others in the conversation. It is a time to show your verbal abilities, yet, remember, no one like a know-it-all. Others in the same group are you competitors, but they are not to be ignored. They are to be respected. Involving them shows that you are a considerate, open-minded person.
  3. Be polite at all time. Do not cut through when others are talking. The time will come for your argument. Be a good listener is also very important.
  4. If possible, try to lead the discussion. Ask approprate questions.
  5. Smile and be confident. Looking good is very important. Yes indeed, being good is the essential.
  6. Express your views. I understand there are many concerns in politics, society and so on. However, be brave and take a clear stand. "I think...but thast also can" kind of answer wont earn you anything. It only shows you are lacking of principles. There will sensitive issues being talked about. whatever you are concerned with, you sure have your own opinion. whether it is against the majority or not, it shows that you are a thinking individual.
